IMDEA (Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados) Networks Institute is a research organization on data networks whose multinational team is engaged in cutting-edge fundamental science and technology. As an English-speaking institute located in Madrid, Spain, IMDEA Networks offers a unique opportunity for pioneering scientists to develop their research vision. Researchers at IMDEA Networks are organized in research groups and laboratories. These evolve and adapt according to our working priorities, ensuring the relevance and innovative character of our scientific work. The Pervasive Wireless Systems Group, led by Dr. Domenico Giustiniano, investigates novel system solutions for the next generation of pervasive wireless systems. The main objective is to create impact, publishing in top system conferences, and transferring the results to the society. The current main areas of research are: Battery-free IoT Networks, Large-scale Spectrum Analytics, and 5G and Beyond Localization Systems. The group has extensive experience in participating in research projects with international partners, including 5 EU funded projects in the last years.
